Just opened in Lawrenceville. Wild Purveyors….. Stopped in to see what fun foods I could get from them.. They had fresh Duck Eggs and Poulet (small chickens?) Eggs in a basket… Fresh Goat Cheese. More to come.. All foods from Pennsylvania. I am pumped about this…… I got Sharpsburg to eat Goat… Wait till you see whats next

We provided food for the Wilkinsburg Community Development Corp last week. This group is doing some really great things for the community of Wilkinsburg. The Hosanna House is a really great place to hold a function. The Wallace Event Center is ready for an elegant wedding or a classy business function. You should check it out and be a part of what’s going on in Wilkinsburg. My night was made when I got to meet up again with my friend Tracy Evans who is the executive director of WCDC. Tracy hung out with me back in the days of “Kids After Dark”. We had many laughs and she is as beautiful as ever.

Last night I had a great visit to the Armstrong Farms (Saxonburg). I met the owner Kathy who is about as nice, accommodating, and sincere as you can find. Very refreshing for these days Her assistant Amanda is also as friendly and knowledgeable… Really sweet location with 3 different farms to have your ceremony and reception held. ….Also finalized a wedding at Blackberry Meadows (Natrona Heights). This is an organic Produce Farm and provider of free range Chickens. Not the normal location for a Wedding but the site is very cool and an aspiring location for future events. I met Greg (an owner) and he gave me a fabulous tour of the micro greeneries and chicken house….Check them both out…Good people- Good places.. Thats where I want to be ! .
We got slammed today at Club Sandwich & Deli. People were diggin the Guinness Beer Battered Fish Sandwiches and the Goat Burgers are becoming a hit.. You gotta check us out for Breakfast and Lunch sometimes soon…. Just set up an Aquarium with 2 Puffer fish named Sushi & Sashimi… Club Sandwich Rocks
I have probably cut myself 3 times in the last 10 years at work. I just bought this new knife (serated french knife) and IT has cut me 4 times in 1 week. I am concerned my knife is possesed….
I stopped in at Salems Market in the Strip. They specialize in Halal fresh and local meats. Halal is an Islamic term for “permissable”. Their meats are all butchered from freshly slaughtered animals. This means that they dont bring in previously killed animals. In Halah, which is similar to Kosher, the animal is killed in a painless manner that kills them in 2 seconds. Anyway, I am getting some Ground Goat and I will be selling Goat Burgers at Club Sandwich & Deli starting tomorrow March 8th.
What a blast we had last night for Janet’s 40th…. Sushi & Cajun Shrimp… Stuffed Leg of Lamb, Chicken Cordon Bleu, Honey Roasted Fingerling Potatoes, & Ribbon wrapped White Asparagus for dinner… But I gotta give it to the famous Hewlett Anderson duo for the entertainment. They were on it last night… There was even a request for the lovely and talented Mrs Bleil to sing a Witney Houston song which she knocked out of the park.. I promised her I would not tell anybody about this so I wont. Great Time, Great Friends…. Makes life worth it.. !
